• All volunteers participate in TRAINING that relates to use of adapted ski equipment, at the Caledon Ski Club, at the outset of the 2023 season, in January
• During ski days (SUNDAYs), a volunteer might buddy-ski with a disabled participant the entire day, such as with our Rat Pack (a group of advanced two, three and four-track skiers). OR. a volunteer may work together with one or two other volunteers to assist and teach a new skier in a sit-ski, or how to use out-riggers and ski-bra, or other adapted equipment and modified techniques
• Throughout the season, volunteers are also given the opportunity to take further instruction from CADS (Canadian Adaptive Snowsports) certified instructors, with the opportunity to obtain their 'instructor certification'
• Except for membership in CADS, volunteers participate in the program at no cost (ADDS covers cost of coach transport between Toronto and the Club, and we pay for your lift ticket) Please see QUALIFICATIONS (below) for additional details

OUR SKIING SEASON STARTS IN JANUARY, so don't delay in applying! Volunteers with 'profiles' in Volunteer MBC's Referral System can click the yellow box 'Apply Now!' (above) to gain direct access to the APPLICATION FORM (in Microsoft WORD). Please complete/follow the instructions to submit your application. Your name/contact information will be added to a confidential list of applicants, available only to ADDS. If you do not have a 'volunteer profile', you are invited to create one: Create your Volunteer Profile - Volunteer MBC. 

• Minimum Age - 14
• You have both ability and experience in Alpine skiing that qualifies you as a strong, confident skier, comfortable on Intermediate ski hills
• Ready and able to undergo TRAINING in respect of special equipment/instruction required for physically disabled skiers
• You're a good communicator, prepared to teach and guide, so that disabled participated will enjoy a great outdoor recreational experience
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check required (ADDS will reimburse the cost of this at the end of the season, PROVIDED that you have volunteered a minimum of 6 program days)
• Proof of Vaccination required
