The impact of COVID-19 and the prospect of a 'new normal' about ways in which we communicate will definitely influence this role, how it is further developed, plus how it will be adapted to future social conditions. Its fundamentals remain the following:

• As a Member of the Board, and in consultation with our President and with staff and volunteers in related 'roles', devise an appropriate plan to reach out to the community, and to its stakeholders who need to be aware of, and can contribute to, Connect 4 Life
• Help promote Connect 4 Life by raising community awareness of our vision/mission ('brand'), and more particularly engage potential donors (to gain individual and corporate sponsorship)
• Connecting with and maintaining current, productive relationships with local media
• Public speaking engagements, in order to promote and achieve the stated objectives (which may take place in person OR 'virtually': ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
• Collaborating with staff and volunteers, notably the 'Sales & Marketing' volunteer lead, you will generate media and other material necessary to your 'public relations' role.

• Minimum Age - 20
• Excellent ENGLISH oral/written communication skills (incl. facility in all forms of 'virtual' communication - telephone/email/online)
• Ability to be social, outgoing, and engaging
• Experience in 'Public Relations'
• Experience in stakeholder engagement (a 'networker')
• Comfortable with public speaking and audience engagement (incl. 'virtual' presentations via ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, Skype, etc.)
• Knowledge of local community resources and stakeholders
• Experience in connecting with/to media (TV, Cable, newspapers, etc.)
• Appreciate/participate in diversity/equity/inclusion in our communities
• Past leadership role(s) in the community would be helpful
