Carine has dedicated her personal life to volunteering and she spends approximately 50 hours a month on trying to make a difference in her community. In that capacity, she has been a dedicated board member of Caledon Community Services since 2005 and current serves as the Board's Vice-Chair. She is also the Chair of CCS's Corporate Development Committee and Co-Chair of the Gala Committee. Carine is also an active environmentalist and as a volunteer she manages Chez Thrift, a second hand clothing store (part of the CCS umbrella) every Saturday, where she has a chance to contribute to saving the environment while at the same time providing funding to support the needy citizens in Caledon.
Sharon Clark-Koufis, Marketing & Communications Manager
Sharon Clark-Koufis brings to Volunteer MBC over 20 years of Marketing & Communications experience from various sectors to include print production, publishing, graphic design and information technology, and also previously taught graphic design and business software applications at Seneca Collage and the International Academy of Design. Previous to joining Volunteer MBC, she worked at a provincial association that supported and advocated for not-for-profit care for seniors in Ontario. In addition to working at the centre, Sharon manages a marketing/design/gift company, which provides proceeds of sales to a number of charitable organizations. She is a board member for Caledon Community Services, and most recently joined the Community Information Online Consortium (CIOC) as a Board of Director. For the past 8 years she has been a volunteer marketing consultant for the Mother of Carmel Childcare Centre located in the City of Vaughan, which is a not-for-profit childcare and preschool owned and operated by the Sisters of Carmelite. In addition, through her experience and passion for education and training she is also a member of the parent school council where both of her children attend. In her spare time, Sharon can be found with a garbage bag in hand along with her daughter, son and husband pitching in to help clean up local area parks, trails and waterways.
Marina Campos, Office Manager
Marina Campos is a true example of how a volunteer opportunity could turn into a life-changing career. Having arrived in Canada just a mere 2 years ago with her family, Marina engaged herself in volunteer opportunities to gain Canadian work experience and to create a solid social network. She volunteered with the Social Planning Council of Peel and assisted with the preparation and finalization of statistical data for a research study, Portraits of Peel 2006. Shortly thereafter, she joined Volunteer MBC as our Administrative Assistant, and more recently moved into the position of Office Manager. She has greatly assisted with building the foundation for our centre. Marina brings to the centre a 25-year career which first began as an English and History teacher in Goa. She pursued her teaching career in Nairobi Kenya, then transitioning into the corporate world with an independent marketing company for Apple Computers in Dubai where she worked her way through various positions up to management. Marina commits herself to helping others in any way that she possibly can and conveys and shares this dedication with those around her.
Adriane Beaudry, Program Manager
Adriane Beaudry first learned the value of volunteering as a child through her involvement in Guiding and by volunteering on a weekly basis at a local senior’s residence. Previous to joining Volunteer MBC, she has worked at a number of not-for-profit agencies including Community Living Mississauga, the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Canadian Cancer Society. Adriane works actively at the centre in connecting managers of volunteers, executive directors and others in the field, and providing educational opportunities to those engaged in the not-for-profit sector. She has served on the board of Professional Association of Volunteer Resources - Ontario (PAVR-O) since 2004, has been a member since 1999, and currently serves as President. As well, she is past chair of her local AVA, the Peel Volunteer Administrators Network (PVAN). Adriane enjoys running and participates in charity runs for various causes.
